It's that time of year when many of us get the wild idea that we're going to bake cookies for all our friends and co-workers.
I always start off with the best of intentions. I dig out my Betty Crocker Christmas cookie cookbook, make a shopping list and wonder if those sprinkles I've had stashed in the cupboard since last year have an expiration date.
Sound familiar? If you would like to make this holiday season a little less crazy, hook up your sleigh and dash over to Crumbles Cookies in Corona and let them do the baking for you. Once you take a look at their amazing selection, you'll surrender your spatula.
This gourmet cookie paradise is owned by Greg and Bonnie Yoder. Opened in 2005, they are passionate about whipping up the best tasting cookies, bars, and scones at a reasonable price.
Everything is baked fresh daily, unlike that packaged stuff you find at the market. Crumbles only uses the freshest ingredients, whole eggs, and premium quality chocolate. From the moment you walk through the door and take in the intoxicating aromas and trays filled with sweet delights, you'll already be planning your next visit.
Crumbles always features the classics including rich and chewy Chocolate Chip, Oatmeal Raisin, Crackles, decadent Brownies, Peanut Butter, and my all time favorite, Snickerdoodles dusted with sugar and cinnamon. These cookies aren't those little dinky versions you attempt to make at home that come out a little burnt around the edges. If that little voice you hear in your head right now is your sweet tooth screaming "FEED ME," just go to the Crumbles website and see images of every single treat that comes out of their ovens.

Crumbles Cookies in Corona bakes its sweets daily.
Crumbles also has daily specials. Chocolate lovers will be sent over the moon with the Mint Fudge, Fudge Special or the Peanut Butter Fudge. (Do we see a pattern here?) You'll also find Mexican Wedding Cake cookies, Raspberry Tea Cakes, White Chocolate Almond, and Frosted Sugar. And don't be surprised if you walk in and find some new treats. The last time I was there, Pumpkin Bars were featured and, of course, I had to sample one (or two) plus some of the gingerbread cookies.
Crumbles not only does all of the baking, they'll wrap it for you as well. Beautiful cellophane and ribbons in a wide variety of patterns perfect for any occasion.
I kindly suggest that you make it a New Year's resolution to take a little time for yourself and put Crumbles at the top of your "To Do" list. As far as gift giving goes, Crumbles takes in-store and telephone orders for shipping or just go to their website.
Select the Wire Wicker Basket, which includes an assortment of one dozen mouthwatering cookies with Holiday cellophane wrap for just $26.95 (plus tax & shipping) or the Crystal Tray Wrap which has two dozen cookies arranged on a crystal-like tray and is wrapped with a beautiful bow.
If you're looking for cute, little presents for people at the office, hostess gifts, or just a sweet treat to have around for those drop-in visitors, you can also pick-up individual frosted sugar cookies wrapped in cellophane and tied with a holiday ribbon for just $2.95 each.
If one of your holiday traditions is to make cookies with the kids, then have a Frosting Party. Crumbles will put together for you two dozen sugar cut-out cookies (you choose the shape), one tub of white frosting, plus two extra colors that you select and three different sprinkles.
Crumbles ask for 48 hours notice for large orders (and the Frosting Party package).
The next time you're in the mood for a delicious sweet treat, be sure to stop by Crumbles. Who needs a holiday to enjoy a cookie?
